Executive Committee Panel | 8:50 am – 9:30 am | The Executive Committee is a strategic body aligning the pillar industries adopting RFID and sensor technologies. The members are the prime movers of logistics, aviation, retail, and the food industries, and are guiding the Auburn lab to uncover and develop cross industry opportunities including alignment in deployment and data sharing. The Executive Committee panel will discuss the future of the industry, and will set the groundwork for the remainder of the day’s agenda. |

Retail Aligned Mini-Track | 10:45 am – 11:45 pm | Retail has always been a cornerstone of RFID, and is driving a majority of the volume growth for tagged items. This mini-track will include short presentations from several retailers on their varying approaches to RFID data capture and adoption, and they will come together for a joint panel with opportunities for questions and answers. |

The Future of Supply Chain from Stores to Space Mini-Track | 1:15 pm – 2:15 pm | Supply Chain is one of the foundations of RFID, and there are surprising parallels between package logistics, space logistics, and retail DC operations. This mini-track will include short presentations on FedEx, NASA, and GS1 US’ needs and concepts for supply chain visibility, and the presenters will come together for a joint panel with opportunities for questions and answers. |
RFID in Manufacturing – Los Alamos National Laboratory | 2:15 pm – 2:45 pm | Los Alamos is synonymous with the pinnacle of scientific innovation and is driving innovation for precision applications on items that are very difficult to scan and identify. Los Alamos will discuss the collaborative partnership with Auburn University students and their unique role in accelerating RFID development. |

Unlocking the Potential for Data from Serialization | 3:15 pm – 4:00 pm | The promise of data from sensor technologies lies in the largely unexplored domain of serialized unit level data. There are drastic changes coming in how we identify and track all kinds of inventory including enabling serialized item identification and the advancement of traditional barcodes. There are several early initiatives to drive and leverage the technology, and this panel includes many of the most advanced early adopters, and will discuss how and why serialized sensors will evolve every aspect of their future operations. |
Back to the Future | 4:00 pm – 4:50 pm | The Auburn RFID Lab has supported 20 years of growth and innovation in the RFID space, and is preparing for the next 20 years of industry transformation. This panel will include some of the lab staff and outside partners that have collaborated since the beginning, and will reflect on our history and learnings, while laying the future course for the lab’s evolving role in driving and supporting advancement and success of retail, aviation, logistics, and food. |
